Brock Osthoff, LMSW, is a lifelong resident of the Dubuque area with a strong connection to the local community and a passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from Clarke University and has experience working with children, adolescents, and college-aged clients.
Brock utilizes a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy, creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey. His clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build effective coping strategies for stress, anxiety, and other life challenges.
In addition, Brock incorporates Play Therapy techniques when working with younger clients to encourage emotional expression, self-awareness, and healthy development in a safe and creative setting. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy used to help individuals process trauma and distressing experiences.
Brock believes that every person has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change, and he is committed to helping clients move toward healing, self-discovery, and greater peace in their lives.
